The parishes of Danby and Westerdale have a history going back for centuries and are to be found in the glorious scenery of the North Yorks Moors. We are a thriving community with a long tradition of helping ourselves and other people and take a pride in what we do. Our churches here are an active part of the community and amongst other things we always make visitors welcome - whether in joining our services or seeing round our lovely churches or in joining us at our concerts and events. About
this beautiful place
We are situated in the North Yorks National park in
the beautiful upper reaches of the river Esk and only a few miles
from the Hertitage coastline around the Whitby area. This is a peaceful
and beautiful area away from the hustle and bustle with many things
to see and explore. You can find a map of the area on the contact/location
page and come and visit the churches each of which is in its
own spectaclar scenery. We have good church records at Danby
and if you are interested in finding out more take a look

pages and perhaps find out a little more history too.
We have lots of events to be be
